i 2008 in Norfolk, Virginia, the government had to pay 8,000 dollars worth of machinery to remove chewing gum from the streets, what!!!? , 8,000 dolars for just chewing gum?, thats not make sense, yeah, but that is the fact. While in Tempe, Arizona, need to form a 'clean team' for a full day in January 2010 only to deal with chewing gum and similar chaos in the town center, hehe you need to make a team to clean up this sticky things.
Maybe that is needed in such places, - which is also found in Indonesia - is an artist like Ben Wilson. He changed the gum area that has been spit London pavement into miniature painting.
Using acrylic paint and a small brush, Wilson draw abstract art, figures, faces and work habits. Thanks to his eccentric, a number of British newspapers and the BBC has written the story of Wilson in ficer. Until now, Wilson has painted more than 10 thousand paintings on chewing gum as public art, wow!.
But this is not a reason to spit out your gum on the street.Wilson shows how you can make other people's art and even garbage. This art can be reused and recycled for the public good.
Here some of his creation
