Hi Guys, now we're going to talk about Topeng Ireng.
   Topeng Ireng is a traditional art form are assimilated with the local culture of Central Java.Topeng Ireng which is also known as art Dayakan, are new creations of folk dance form, that is the result of the metamorphosis of art Kubro Siswo.
The name of Topeng Ireng itself comes from the word Toto Lempeng Irama Kenceng. Toto means to organize, lempeng means straight, irama means tone, and kenceng means hard. Therefore, in the topeng ireng show, the dancers straight line and accompanied by rhythmic loud and energetic music. Based on the stories circulating in the community, the arts of Topeng Ireng began to grow in  communities of the slopes of Merapi Merbabu since Dutch colonial times and continued its development in the 1960s. This dance is a form of performing art that combines with traditional symbols of Islam and martial arts or pencaksilat. Not surprisingly, Topeng Ireng always accompanied by music and  smart song with Islamic poetry. Aside from being delivery of Islam, the show of Topeng Ireng also depicts of life of rural people who live on the slopes of Merapi Merbabu. Of strict movement illustrate physical strength possessed by the villagers during the fight and make friends with nature in order to survive. The main attraction is owned by Topeng Ireng art of course lies in the costumes of the dancers. Plumes similar colorful  the crown of Indian chiefs adorn of the head of each dancer. In line with the crown of feathers, the makeup of the dancers and the clothing of the dancers like Indian tribes. Frilly and full of bright colors.
