Lenong

  Lenong is a traditional art from Jakarta especially betawi people, presented in the Betawi dialect, the lenong show is accompanied by various musical instruments, namely the xylophone, kromong, gongs, drums, kempor, flute, and kecrekan, as well as elements of Chinese musical instruments such as Tehyan, kongahyang, and sukong.

 Lenong evolved since the late 19th century or early 20th century. Having gone through a difficult period, the 1970s art lenong that has been modified, began routinely performed on stage Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta. In addition to using modern theatrical elements in the plot and planning stage, lenong revitalized into a duration of two or three hours and no longer through the night. Furthermore, lenong also became popular through performances on television, which is broadcast on television the Republic of Indonesia began in the 1970s. Some of the lenong artists who became famous since then for example is Bokir, Nasir, Siti, and Anen.
